10月1日上午奥克兰Newlynn图书馆一场由LUV Immigration 和图书馆联合举办的”四子棋锦标赛”正紧张的搏弈中。来自各裔族的，由6岁~20多岁的38名参赛选手参加了这次锦标赛。
“四子棋”历史源远流长，传说起源于四千多年前的尧帝时代，在古代早已成为先贤们智慧交锋的载体。这次比赛不分年龄层，以淘汰赛方式进行。
赛场上，选手们都全神贯注，丝毫不敢放松走的每一步。棋子在棋盘上跳跃，这不仅是技艺的切磋，更是智慧与策略的考验。
经过几轮的激烈角逐后，进入冠、亚、季军决赛的名单终于产生。经过过关斩将，脱颖而出的3名佼佼者Jayden、Sumayya和Europe，他们满怀信心的进入了争夺冠军宝座的决赛。
决赛现场气氛凝重，小棋手们目光坚毅，棋盘上红黄棋子交替落下，他们或锁眉沉思，或面露欣喜，于方寸之间尽显智慧与坚韧，心无旁骛，落子的瞬间满是审慎与谋略。
经过几轮激战过后，胜负尘埃落定，最后获得冠军的是11岁的选手Jayden，获得亚军的则是小帅哥Europe，而季军是美丽的女孩Sumayya。
从这次比赛中，我们看到了孩子们在与对手决弈中的自信和顽强的拼搏精神与力量。他们胜不骄，败不馁，胜负握手礼待。他们赛出了水平，赛击了友谊，更赛出了体育精神。
Connect 4 Tournament—Competing for Skill, Friendship, Wisdom, and Resilience
On the morning of October 1st, the Newlynn Library in Auckland hosted a thrilling “Connect 4 Championship” co-organized by LUV Immigration and the library. Over 30 participants from diverse ethnic backgrounds, ranging in age from 6 to their twenties, joined the tournament.
With a history dating back over four thousand years to the era of Emperor Yao, Connect 4 has long served as a vehicle for intellectual exchange among ancient sages. This tournament featured no age divisions and employed a knockout format.
On the playing field, competitors remained fully focused, carefully weighing each move. As pieces danced across the board, the contest transcended mere skill—it became a test of intellect and strategy.
After several rounds of fierce competition, the finalists for the championship, runner-up, and third place emerged. Jayden, Sumayya, and Europe, who had risen to the top through relentless competition, entered the championship match with unwavering confidence.
The final match was tense. The young players’ eyes were determined as red and yellow pieces alternated on the board. They furrowed their brows in deep thought or flashed smiles of delight, displaying wisdom and resilience within the confined space. Fully focused, each move was made with caution and strategy.
After several rounds of fierce competition, the results were decided. The champion title went to 11-year-old Jayden, the runner-up was the handsome young Europe, and the third place was awarded to the lovely girl Sumayya.
This tournament showcased the children’s confidence and tenacious spirit as they faced their opponents. They remained humble in victory and resilient in defeat, exchanging handshakes regardless of the outcome. Beyond demonstrating their skill, they fostered friendships and embodied the true spirit of sportsmanship.
